IDF Celebrates its 1000th member!
The IDF has close links with the Department of Health, Care Quality Commission, General Medical Council, British Medical Association, Royal Colleges and all the major private insurance companies and private hospitals. It has representation on the BMA Private Practice Committee and the RCGP Revalidation Stakeholders Committee. The IDF is a Designated Body with its own Responsible Officer, Dr Stuart Sanders.
The IDF offers appraisal to its members modelled on the NHS system which is recognised by the GMC. It seeks to work in a spirit of harmonious co-operation with the NHS and offer choice to patients. Many IDF members work in both the NHS and the Independent Sector.
