We are delighted to invite you to our Evening Webinar with Professor Diana Gorog who will be presenting on What’s new in Cardiology? Highlights from primary prevention to update on treatments.

This comprehensive session will highlight some very recent major advances in cardiology, including in risk stratification and treatment. 

The specific aims are to:

  • Increase awareness of novel approaches to assessing cardiovascular risk, latest target/ideal LDL levels from international guidelines, and novel approaches to lipid lowering.
  • Understand which patients should and should not receive aspirin for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease.
  • Understand which patients (in sinus rhythm) may benefit from low dose anticoagulation for secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease.
  • Increase awareness of the most recent data to guide management of patients with atrial fibrillation, with rate versus rhythm control.
  • Increase awareness of latest guideline-directed novel treatment for heart failure.
